The finishing touches have been completed to our latest affordable homes which are now ready for new customers to move in.
We’ve been working in partnership with Cotswold Homes at Charlotte Mews in Cadbury Heath to build nine, new homes. They’re part of the larger development of 25 new homes that have been built on the site of the former Cadbury Heath Youth Centre in Park Road.
Customers moved into the first three homes over the summer and this week housing staff visited the remaining six homes to have a look round before their new occupants move in next week.
Neighbourhood Housing Team Leader Adrian Walshe said: “I think this is one of the nicest developments I have seen in a long while. It’s a high quality finish with lovely attention to detail and some fantastic extra touches to the homes. The first residents are moving in on Monday and I know they will be absolutely delighted with their new homes.”
The completion of these homes brings the total number of new properties we’ve built over the past 18 months to more than 220. We’re committed to helping tackle the shortage of affordable housing in the West of England and have plans to build more than 500 homes over the next two years.
