Residents living close to one of our redevelopment sites in Coalpit Heath tucked into tea and cake at a special event last week.
We invited residents in Coalville Road to pop along for some cake on Wednesday afternoon. It was a thank you to them for the inconvenience of having building work taking place in their street. We're demolishing two ranks of garages and building and replacing them with two bungalows and a pair of flats.
The work forms part of the redevelopment of PRC properties in Coalpit Heath and Iron Acton. In total we're knocking down 44 properties across several sites in the two villages and building 72 new homes in their place. Our contractors Lovell are carrying out the work for us.
Last week's tea party was one of a three events we're holding for residents living close to the building sites this month. Customer Liaison Officer Sarah Durbin said: "It was a really nice event. Everyone who came along had a lovely time."
