Volunteers brighten up school

A local school playground has been transformed thanks to the efforts of Merlin staff, with stunning results.

Staff spent a day last month at Watermore Primary School in Frampton Cotterell, repainting playground furniture and equipment. It was a follow-up visit from the volunteers as they'd already worked at the school in November and wanted to put the finishing touches to brightening up the school playground.

Property Investment Administrator Carol Infanti said: “It was a lot of hard work but the school were really happy with it and the children sent us a card to say thank you.”

The efforts were part of our ongoing volunteering programme, which allows staff to spend one day each year volunteering at a local good cause. Throughout April staff donated 132 hours volunteering at places like local foodbanks and luncheon clubs as well as the school.
