Our expanding homebuilding programme has taken another step forward after we secured a deal for our first homes in Wiltshire.
We've entered into contract with Edenstone Homes this week to purchase four of the ten homes being built at Ridgeway Farm in Crudwell. The properties are the latest addition to our growing homebuilding programme as we help tackle the housing crisis in the south west.
Development Manager Peter Crouch said: “We’re excited to be expanding into a new area with these new homes in Wiltshire and to be working with Edenstone Homes again. The homes are just a few miles away from Tetbury in Cotswold District, where we’re currently building 68 new homes on two sites.
“Across the south west there is a real need for more affordable housing, with house prices more than ten times average earnings in places, including Wiltshire. Over the coming year our aim is to build 230 new homes and increase this to 300 next year, to help meet this demand.”
We're taking a pair of two bedroom homes and two three bedroom homes at Ridgeway Farm. One of the three bedroom homes will be available to buy through shared ownership, while the other three homes will be available to rent. The homes are due to be completed in spring 2018.
