Patchway’s Big Clean Up

More than 60 people gloved up, swept up, tidied up and mucked in, at Patchway’s Big Clean Up recently. Staff from Merlin Housing Society joined forces with South Gloucestershire’s Street Care Team, Patchway Town Council, SITA and Mitie, to make over the Parade, Willow Close, Charlton Court and the wilderness garden at Coniston Primary School.

People in Cromhall recently celebrated the opening of a brand new village shop and Post Office, after twenty years of campaigning to secure its future. Around 100 people attended the event to mark the opening of the £650,000 development, which also includes three affordable homes.

Three families who have just moved into brand new rural homes in Cromhall, Gloucestershire, found they have everything they need right on their doorstep. That’s because their new homes form part of a development at Lygon Court which also includes a village shop and Post Office, giving a new meaning to ‘just popping to the shop’.
