A national cancer charity will be better off by several thousand pounds after we beat our annual fundraising target seven months early.
As part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, we raise funds for charity each year. This year, we aimed to raise £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Activities started in April to coincide with the new financial year and less than six months later, the target has already been surpassed.
Currently standing at £4100, the main fundraising has been carried out by a team of 20 staff who competed in the Tough Mudder South West run and obstacle course at the end of August. They hosted a raffle, went busking, held a dress up / dress down day, had a cake sale, washed cars and much more to raise funds.
In previous years, corporate charities have included Muscular Dystrophy UK, Brandon Trust and The Tom Hunt Trust.
Staff are already planning more fundraising for the months ahead.
