Staple Hill residents are being invited to the launch of a new community resource next week.
The Staple Hill Community Hub serves to benefit the residents of Staple Hill and the neighbourhood, to advance education and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
The event takes place at the hub at 1a Berkeley House, Nelson Road, on Tuesday 8 May from 12noon – 4pm and will feature live music from Twin Wave and free refreshments. You’ll also be able to find out more about local services such as the Staple Hill Job Seekers Support Group, Bristol Credit Union and the Staple Hill Community Lunch Club.
Our staff will also be present to provide information about the progress of the Staple Hill Quality of Life Project, a multi-agency group that includes ourselves, South Gloucestershire Council and Avon & Somerset Police among others. Launched last year, the project aims to find solutions to some of the problems facing Staple Hill which makes it the most deprived are in South Gloucestershire.
