We have secured the coveted Investors in People silver accreditation following an inspection during the summer
Thirty-nine staff were interviewed on topics which included the business’s corporate plan, working in a values based organisation, diversity, equality & inclusion and the effectiveness of our leadership and management during the four day visit in July. Inspector Ian Fuller said we have one of the best corporate plans [ Corporate plan 2015 - 19 [pdf] 1MB ] that he had seen for clarity and presentation, communicating direction, ambition and goals for staff and stakeholders. Gaining Investors in People Silver puts us among a select group of companies around the world and in the top 10% of all IIP accredited companies in the UK.
HR Business Partner Vicky James who led on the project, said: “We aspire to be world class and this award is a testament to this ambition. As of April 2015, only 6% of companies have reached this standard and we’re really proud to have achieved this.
“Over the past few years we’ve worked hard to embed our vision and values across the business. We’d originally set ourselves the target of gaining silver status by 2017 and are delighted to have achieved this a year in advance. But we’re not a company that is content to stand still. We’re going to continue to improve and next time we’ll definitely be going for gold.”
The Investors in People standard is recognised across the world as an indication of a business’s commitment to developing its staff. We had previously gained Investors in People Bronze accreditation in 2012.
