The Bristol offices of the Big Issue have got a sparkling new look thanks to our staff.
A team of seven operatives recently spent a week at the Bristol office of the homelessness magazine, totally transforming their facilities. Staff installed a new kitchen, fitted new units in the main area and redecorated the whole office from top to bottom.
Merlin’s General Manager Stephen Williams added: “The team worked exceptionally hard to get everything done and should be very proud of their work.
“The Big Issue is a wonderful organisation that has helped thousands of homeless people over the years. We’re pleased we’ve been able to support their work by improving their local office.”
Tony Churchill, Group Facilities, Fleet and H& S Manager at The Big Issue Group, said: “It was great to see everyone rally together and chip in to make the refurbishment a roaring success. A big thank you goes out, not only to our staff in Bristol for pulling together to ensure that the refurbishment was completed efficiently and effectively, but also to Merlin for their amazing support.”
Next month the team that carried out the work will be travelling to the House of Lords for a tour and a special audience with Big Issue founder Lord Bird.
