We’ve teamed up with South Gloucestershire Council to put on sessions to help people stop smoking during Stoptober.
We’ve reached the halfway point of Stoptober, the 28-day national stop smoking challenge, and now sessions are being run at two of our community flats to help people make it to the end of the month.
Sessions are taking place at the Our Place Community Flat at Berkeley House in Staple Hill on Tuesdays from 2pm – 4pm and at Kingsmeadow Community Flat in Barrington Close Kingswood on Thursdays from 2pm – 4pm.
South Gloucestershire Council is also running other sessions at Juice Community Project in Newton Road, Cadbury Heath on Wednesdays from 2pm – 4pm; at Filton Library on Thursdays from 2pm – 4pm; at Coniston Community Centre in Patchway on Tuesdays from 4pm – 7pm; and at Yate Fire Station on Wednesdays from 4pm – 7pm.
All GPs surgeries in South Gloucestershire also have trained Smokefree advisors within the practice. Contact your GP surgery for an appointment.

What is Stoptober?
Stoptober - the 28-day national stop smoking challenge - is set to return following its launch in October 2012. Stopping smoking for 28 days means you’re five times more likely to stop for good and last year over 160,000 people successfully quit in the nation’s biggest mass participation stop smoking challenge ever. Why not add to that number this Stoptober?
